The second round of Working Group Meetings was held by the Department of City Planning to update community members on feedback that was received, and to hear ideas for improvements that could be made through the Jamaica Neighborhood Plan. The topics discussed in the November 28 meeting were: Transportation & Connectivity; Public Safety & Health; and Open Space & Public Realm.

After a brief introductory presentation, the attendants broke into groups based on topic and reviewed a summary of all feedback that had been received up to that point. They then completed several engagement activities within each topic group. Attendants first completed the “Three Why” activity to understand the root causes of issues in Jamaica; and then shared their Ideas and Strategies for improvements in Jamaica, and adopted a “persona” to think about Ideas and Strategies from a different perspective
